Jalen Ramsey and the Los Angeles Rams

Thursday night will be a night to forget for Jalen Ramsey and the Los Angeles Rams. Thirty-one points led Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs to reassert themselves as one of the deadliest duos in the NFL.

Part of that came at the expense of Jalen Ramsey, who was regularly talked about on the broadcast as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

Ramsey was hit seven times and gave up six completions.

Ramsey was hit seven times and gave up six completions for 124 yards and two touchdowns on Thursday, including a 53-yard pass to Diggs where the star receiver snuck behind Ramsey in the secondary.

That play resulted in Diggs getting up and talking to Ramsey. At that point in the game, there wasn't much Ramsey could answer.

    Josh Allen

In 3 games, Josh Allen has torched any team Jalen Ramsey is on, be it the Jaguars or the Rams. Posting a 3-0 record, Allen threw for 768 yards, rushed for an additional 163, and scored a combined 11 touchdowns.

Allen may have taken advantage of the opposing defense, but it would also make sense for the Bills quarterback to have additional motivation against Ramsey.

"I think Allen is trash," Ramsey told GQ at the time. "I don't care what anyone says. He is garbage. And she will also be noticed. That's a stupid draft pick for me."

They're probably overconfident. But when Thursday comes, it's football.

For the Rams, the defense will be back on the drawing board, but there are legitimate signs of concern surrounding Ramsey, particularly his troubles against the deep pass in recent games.

Super Bowl, in which Tee Higgins got away with wearing a face mask

After going 65 games without allowing a deep touchdown pass, Ramsey has allowed one of four of his last six. Even if he eliminates the one in the Super Bowl, in which Tee Higgins got away with wearing a face mask, that's still 50 percent of his last six games in which he's allowed a long TD. That is not what the Rams want from their top corner.

However, Ramsey will have to turn things around quickly. The Rams showed plenty of holes Thursday. They cannot allow one of their stars to become one of them.
