Last week, the Chiefs controlled the first half against the Cardinals, scoring 23 points, accumulating 267 yards, completing three touchdown passes, and only kicking the ball once.

With Jerick McKinnon, Patrick Mahomes is 12-of-14 for 98 yards, including a sidearm, 9-yard touchdown pass. The Chiefs, however, were only able to complete one drive after going 2-of-6 on third down.
The Chargers scored on their opening two possessions, but strangely, after getting to the Kansas City 13-yard line, they kicked a field goal on fourth-and-two. Brandon Staley later decided to punt twice on fourth-and-two after getting to the Kansas City 47 and the Kansas City 48.
Justin Herbert completed 12-of-17 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown as the Chargers ran 31 plays for 165 yards. On the opening play of the second quarter, he found fullback Zander Horvath for a 1-yard touchdown pass.
Late in the first half, Joey Bosa smacked Mahomes hard on his knee, but he continued to play.
The Chargers will make the kickoff for the second half.
