The Steelers have received a title of a receiver factory over the years consistently, advancing some of the great players at the spot.

But there is one Pittsburgh player who thinks he should be among the highest-rated receivers going into the third Year — although he has knowledge that he still has a lot to convince.

In the current episode of the I Am Athlete podcast, Chase Claypool was present and described to the hosts just how confident he is in his ability. The hosts were Brandon Marshall, LeSean McCoy, and Adam “Pacman” Jones.

Chase Claypool said, “I must say, I was a better player in my second year than I was in my first year.” “The games just didn’t work out, correct? Some of the games just didn’t go my path. I didn’t build some games I need to do. But for me, as a football player, concerning the game, having the know-how of what to perform, knowing where to be, I was one step ahead. So this year, I am going to be greater.

“And just as you discussed, understanding I am not ordinary — I notice that path when I am on the ground. I know this is a fact that I am not like the rest of the people in the NFL. I know I am a high-five receiver. I’m a top-three receiver, I know.”

Chase Claypool resumed that he understands that path in large part because of how he is capable of implementing it when he is on the ground.

Chase Claypool said, “When I am at work, I am like, ‘I am a dog.’ I’m going to dog people that are aligning across from me, too.” “And I just have to bring that confidence right now and I have to bring that passion and I just have to show it to people. And this is going to happen. And we are going to rewind it and we are going to watch this pin in a little bit and they will be like, ‘Damn, he was correct.’”

Chase Claypool has shown much of ability in his starting two seasons.

He caught 62 passes for 873 yards, including nine touchdowns as a rookie. But he had just one pair of TDs in 2021, catching 59 passes for 860 yards.

After Chase Claypool gave his lofty statement, McCoy wanted to hear numbers — what type of stats does Chase Claypool foresee having in 2022? The receiver told 1,300 yards and more than 10 touchdowns.

It could be tough to perform as a quarterback with either Mitchell Trubisky, rookie Kenny Pickett, or Mason Rudolph in the next season. But if Chase Claypool does not have confidence in himself, who will be?
