NEW YORK There is just over a week to go until the 92nd edition of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game and this Sunday, the complete rosters of the players that will attend Dodger Stadium on July 19, were revealed through ESPN during the 2022 MLB All-Star Chevrolet Selection Show.
American and National Leagues were revealed on Friday, while the pitchers and backups that complete both squads were announced on Sunday.
A year after Shohei Ohtani became the first player to be an All-Star as a pitcher and hitter, the Japanese sensation for the Los Angeles Angels did it again.
Ohtani was selected to the American League pitching staff on Sunday as a major league pick, two days after fans still chose him to start as the designated hitter.
Pitchers Clay Holmes, Gerrit Cole and Nestor Cortes were selected from the Yankees, along with catcher José Treviño, giving New York six All-Star players for the first time since 2011. Outfielders Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton were selected for Start.
