Cristiano Ronaldo will not participate in Manchester United's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, the club announced amid speculation he will not continue with the English team.
United said it had given the 37-year-old Portuguese extended leave on Friday to resolve unspecified family matters that prevented him from showing up for training this week.

Versions are circulating that Cristiano would have asked to be transferred.
United finished 6th in the Premier League and did not qualify for the Champions League. Instead, they will play the less prestigious Europa League.
