A member of the Hall of Fame is Dennis Rodman. He has won five NBA championships, is regarded as the game's all-time leading rebounder, has won two Defensive Player of the Year awards, and was a member of the NBA's 75th-anniversary team.
The worst teammate Shaquille O'Neal has ever had is Rodman
In response to the question about his worst teammate, Shaq named Rodman without hesitation on his The Big Podcast with Shaq (hat tip to CBS Sports).
Best teammate? Dennis Rodman" proclaimed O'Neal. He was a fantastic player, but he made things difficult. Like when you try to gather the boys together and those in charge are allowing one guy to get away with whatever he wants. Thus, we had to arrive there before the game. He would arrive fifteen minutes before kickoff while eating chicken and rice. He would enter the shower and leap out when the coaches were discussing. Chilly shower. Bring in 15-20 rebounds for you.
That fits
Additionally, Shaq and Rodman only played together for the Lakers' 1998–1999 season.
It's not difficult to imagine Rodman as a vital player on the floor and a troublemaker off it. On teams with strong coaches and locker room leaders who could reasonably keep him underline, such as Chuck Daly and Isiah Thomas in Detroit and Phil Jackson and Michael Jordan in Chicago, Rodman enjoyed the most success. At least when it mattered, keep him focused on the task (the rest of the time, well).
Many of Rodman's teammates would probably support Shaq. The rings on their fingers will be visible to other former Rodman teammates, and they will be aware that they wouldn't be there without him.
