Quinton de Kock's unbeaten run of 92 runs was in vain as persistent rain swept away the third and final deciding ODI between England and South Africa in Leeds, with series honors shared 1-1.
With the series on the line
South Africa had won the first ODI in England after posting the country's highest total in ODIs. In the second, the tables were reversed as they succumbed to 83 overall, their joint-lowest total in England. With the series on the line, everything was on the line in the decider, but sadly it didn't, as the weather decided to crash the party.

South Africa had opted to bat first at Headingley, and despite early movement with the new ball, England could not advance as in the previous game. While Janneman Malan went one to one point back, Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen rebuilt positively.
