Big teams in Europe
As the club season approaches for the big teams in Europe, many others are already underway, with the qualifying rounds of the European competition moving on.
The teams that advance from the early rounds of the Europa League have their sights set on a lucrative place in the group stage and even harbor dreams of going to the knockout rounds. They must earn a spot by playing through the qualifying games and playoffs, which feature complex European journeys against equally hungry opponents.
Champions League
Unlike the Champions League and the Europa Conference League, the Europa League has not yet started its qualifying stages. Still, somewhat confusingly, the first official round of the competition has been dubbed the “third qualifying round” to sync it up with the other European competitors.
Belgrade and FC Slovacko
Only two teams are confirmed to participate in the third qualifying round of the Europa League: League Belgrade and FC Slovacko. Other recognizable teams like Qarabag, Ludogorets Razgrad, Fenerbahce, Malmo, Dynamo Kyiv, and others are hoping not to be included in the Europa League third qualifying round as it would mean they were eliminated from the more prestigious Champions League.
Europe League 3rd qualifying round
The 3rd qualifying round will take place before the results of the second qualifying round are completed, meaning that the matchups will be drawn as placeholders for potential entrants.
