By declaring on Monday that they had waived seven players, the Giants have begun trimming their roster down to 53.
Yusuf Corker, kicker Ryan Santoso
Defensive back Yusuf Corker, kicker Ryan Santoso, offensive lineman Josh Rivas, receivers Keelan Doss, Travis Toivonen, defensive back Elijah Griffin, and offensive lineman Eric Smith have all been released by New York.
Graham Gano was in the concussion protocol for the final preseason game, so Santoso was signed late last week to kick.
Return to Carolina
Santoso might return to Carolina while Panthers kicker Zane Gonzalez recovers from a "severe" injury. Santoso took part in a match for the team last season.
Brian Daboll
Head coach Brian Daboll informed reporters that those seven should be the Giants' cuts for Monday, according to Dan Salomone of the team website. Before Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, the team will need to make more decisions.
