The legendary Tom Brady assured us that he still has the fire to compete, which is why he returned with the Buccaneers.
In an interview with Variety, the seven-time Super Bowl winner explained, "I'll say it's year to year. Can it be my last year? Absolutely. Can I change my mind? Absolutely. I've realized I don't have five years left, but I want to do it my way, give it my all and see where I am.
My body feels great. I've had a lot of traumatic injuries over the years, but if things work out and I win, that'll be great. And he said, "(As champion) It would be a great way to finish. I have the fire of competing that overcame me."
And he pointed out: "I know, I know, I would have preferred to come out of retirement in July if I wanted to continue playing, but I couldn't; if I say I don't play, then they make plans. So I feel like there was a lot of pressure to make a quick decision, and In the end, I just decided, 'Yeah, we're going to do it.
And he finished: "I have been planning not to play football, but the sport has continued. So I know that I am close to the end of my career. It is not that I have ten years left, and when I finish, I will be able to transition to things that are ready and running."
Brady said that this could be his last year despite his desire and hunger to continue competing.
