New Orleans practice
The Saints added Linebacker Chase Hansen to the 53-man roster on Tuesday.
The Saints re-signed Hansen, 29, to the practice squad before promoting him this week after he was cut from the roster last week due to injury. He was mostly a New Orleans practice squad member for the last two seasons.
Before joining the Saints on August 8 following Kiko Alonso's retirement, Hansen spent the first part of this season with the Falcons. In five games over the past two seasons, Hansen has made one tackle for the team.
Jake Luton, a quarterback, will replace Hansen on the practice squad
The Jaguars selected Luton in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and as a rookie, he started three games, giving him his lone NFL regular-season experience. He threw six interceptions in addition to two touchdown passes.
He has also played for the Seahawks and Dolphins.
