    The Eagles in Week 1

Which of their injured players will be able to play against the Eagles in Week 1 is something the Lions are beginning to anticipate.

    Julian Okwara

Both defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike and linebacker Julian Okwara are on that list, although one is more likely to play than the other. Onwuzurike's recovery from back and hip problems has been proceeding "at a snail's pace," according to Lions head coach Dan Campbell, but further encouraging news concerning Okwara's recovery from his undisclosed ailment was revealed at Friday's press conference.

"Philly is what we're hoping for. According to Campbell, who was quoted by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, "He's probably got the best chance of any of them to be back."

    Last season,

Last season, Okwara recorded five sacks for the Lions last season, and his involvement in practices over the next weeks should indicate whether he'll be available to tackle Jalen Hurts.
