Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court yesterday after being charged with attempted rape, assault causing actual bodily injury and controlling and coercive behavior.
As reported in The Athletic, Greenwood has been remanded until November 21, when he will appear outside Manchester Crown Court to continue his trial.
After being found guilty of continually violating his bail conditions, the judge decided not to release Greenwood until the previous court date.
Greenwood appeared on the court in a gray tracksuit, and his family was on hand to give him support.
United has remained relatively quiet throughout the situation, releasing statements about his release on bail on the day of the arrest and then commenting further on October 15.
He then commented further on February 2, condemning any action of this nature.
The latest statement came on Saturday, October 15, where the club said: "Manchester United points out that the Crown Prosecution Service have brought criminal charges against Mason Greenwood.
After formally suspending Greenwood, the club can only pay him on these terms for 14 days under the standard Premier League contract terms.
Greenwood has not played for United since his arrest in January; his last appearance was in a 1-0 win against West Ham at Old Trafford eight days before his arrest.
The England player was on his way to becoming the latest star on United's conveyor belt after starting his career in a dizzying fashion, racking up more than 100 games for United by age 20.
While the court will ultimately decide his fate, it would be a huge surprise to see Greenwood back at the club, and any future in the game is looking increasingly unlikely.
