Giants defeated the Titans in overtime
On Sunday, the Giants defeated the Titans in overtime, and they did so without much assistance from 2021 first-round pick Kadarius Toney.
Wanda Robinson, a rookie, was forced to leave the game with a knee injury. Thus the Giants went with Richie James, Sterling Shepard, and Kenny Golladay instead of Toney, who played just seven snaps despite being fit. Toney did not receive any passes, although he did run for 19 yards and converted a failed option pass into a four-yard gain when no one was open for a catch.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll questioned Toney's usage following the team's 21-20 victory.

In a press conference, Daboll stated, "We had personnel groupings for all our receivers. "That's what we'll do for every game. There could be more or less. Everything relies on what Mike [Kafka] calls, what we call, and what we witness. And he appears in several of them. We didn't cover all of them. I think he did his job in the plays he was in. I believe I made a wise choice on the drive's final play to take care of the football and gain four, five, or however many yards it was.
Later, Daboll was asked if he wanted to find other methods to use Toney in the coming weeks. Toney could not be in for a significant increase in playing time anytime soon, according to Daboll, who stated that the squad will do "whatever we think we've had to do for that week."
