The Buccaneers
The Buccaneers had slightly over $1 million in cap space at the start of the day. They now have more.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Buccaneers altered the terms of offensive lineman Shaq Mason's contract to avoid exceeding this year's quota by more than $6 million.
Mason was expected to earn a base salary of $6.5 million and deduct $7.382 million from the cap in 2022.
Luke Goedeke
Mason was traded to the Bucs by the Patriots in the offseason, reuniting him with quarterback Tom Brady. At right guard, he will debut.
Luke Goedeke, a new starter for the Buccaneers, is also their right guard (Robert Hainsey).
