Commanders head coach Ron Rivera
After visiting the rookie running back in the hospital on Sunday, Commanders head coach Ron Rivera tweeted that Robinson was in excellent spirits. On Monday, Rivera provided another update on Robinson's condition.
Robinson
Robinson was shot twice in the lower extremities during an attempted robbery on Sunday night and sustained non-life-threatening wounds. When asked when he would be ready to resume playing, Rivera told reporters on Monday that all of the news from the doctors and Robinson had been favorable. However, he added that it was still too early to make predictions.

I won't go into details other than to state that he's doing OK. Ben Standig of TheAthletic.com quotes Rivera as saying, "I had the chance to meet with him last night, which was really a relief and sort of cool because he was in a really nice place. "He was quite positive, and the doctors were positive with him. He's quite lucky; it's a terrible scenario. He is doing well, and it won't take long for him to return to this area. There is no timetable, but as I already stated, everything has been excellent.
