The contest against the Patriots
In the opening preseason contest against the Patriots, Giants offensive lineman Shane Lemieux suffered a foot injury. Since then, he hasn't worked out and is anticipated to miss some of the regular seasons.

Lemieux would have to miss at least four games if the Giants placed him on injured reserve after the first 53-player roster was determined.
A third-round pick
A third-round pick, Lemieux's backup at left guard, is listed as Joshua Ezeudu, although the rookie is also injured. Since the opening preseason match, Ezeudu has not participated in any practices.
The backup right guard, Ben Bredeson, has recently lost time due to a left elbow ailment.
