Argentina defeated the United States 82-73 in Saturday's semifinal game thanks to 30 points from Gabriel Deck and 18 points from Nicolás Laprovittola.
It was a replay of the U.S. winning the gold medal game from the previous AmeriCup competition in 2017.

Cole scored 18 points to lead the Americans, and Zylan Cheatham contributed ten more. The Americans only attempted ten free throws, compared to 29 for Argentina.
Argentina fell to the United States 81-76 in the 2017 AmeriCup final, with Facundo Campazzo scoring 10 points. For 33 of the game's 40 minutes, Argentina held the lead.
