The Texans have released wide receiver Chris Conley for the second time this week.

Conley was one of the players cut by the Texans on Tuesday as they reduced their roster to 53; on Thursday, he signed again after several club members were placed on injured reserve. However, Conley's stay was brief—just one day.
The Texans cut Conley to create room for tight end O.J. Howard. Thursday's visit by Howard resulted in an agreement on a contract, which he formally signed on Friday.
In the 16 games Conley participated in for Houston last year, he started 10 of them. He caught 22 passes for 323 yards and two scores.
