The Laver Cup 2022 will be held from September 23 to 25 at the O2 Arena in London. It is the fifth edition of the confrontation between Europe, and the Rest of the World created following the example of the Ryder Cup of golf.
In this edition, the European team will be made up of Casper Ruud, Rafael Nadal, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, and Matteo Berrettini.
Taylor Fritz, Félix Auger-Aliassime, Diego Schwartzman, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Miñaur, Jack Sock, and Tommy Paul will play for the rest of the world. The captains are Bjorn Borg and Thomas Enqvist for Europe and John and Patrick McEnroe for the rest of the world.
As is known, this tournament will be the farewell tournament for Roger Federer, the first of the 'Big Three' who have dominated men's tennis in the 21st century. For the first time, all three, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, will meet on the European team. Federer was also the promoter of the confrontation, as a promoter.
The format of the competition includes three singles matches and one double match on each day. The value of each match changes depending on the day it is played. The first day is worth a point, the second for two, and the third for three, aiming that the clash is not decided in the first two days.

The third will start no earlier than 20:00, with the following starting below. The first three matches are singles on the first two days and the last one doubles. Roger Federer will play the last match of his professional career at the Laver Cup, which will take place from September 23-25 in London.
