The last two spots of the 2022 World Cup are at stake due to the focus on viewing methods, streaming, and the World Cup playoffs in Qatar.
Simple: Australia vs Peru, Costa Rica vs New Zealand winners will play in the World Cup 2022.
These last intercontinental playoffs will be spectacular. More than 90 minutes of intense play is waiting for you.
Peru and Costa Rica are my favourites, but Australia has reached the final four World Cups, and New Zealand is aiming for a third appearance following the other two featured in the 1982 and 2010 tournaments.
Peru is ranked 22nd in the world (Australia is 42nd), overtaking Chile and Colombia to finish 5th in the South American qualifying and reach the intercontinental playoffs. Costa Rica finished 4th in the CONCACAF qualifying (one behind the USMNT, which was tied), 70 spots higher than New Zealand and ranked 31st in the world.
Based solely on their world rankings, this requires a walk-in between Peru and Costa Rica parks. But we all know that it doesn't work that way. Jeez.
