After an appendectomy, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been back at the facility this week. He hasn't yet practiced when he has been on the field.
According to head coach Zac Taylor, Burrow is still regarded as "day-to-day," who declined to provide a date for the quarterback's return to practice.
Taylor continued by saying that he would not think of having Burrow call plays or do anything similar during the session.
In an interview, Taylor said that he does not consider that essential. My opinion is that he has been locked in and focused. He attends meetings and occasionally takes the lead, as he did today. He has therefore had plenty of engagement, and I don't believe we need it to keep him interested. He does a decent job at that.
Taylor chose not to speculate on Burrow's emotions to avoid appearing to speak for the signal-caller. However, the strategy is still to take each day as it comes before gradually preparing Burrow for the regular season.
So let's go on, Taylor remarked. I don't particularly appreciate putting a time limit on it. He is currently engaged in a lot of practical mental work.
