Carolina interim head coach Steve Wilks sent the veteran player to the locker room during the game after multiple arguments between Anderson and the coaches on the sidelines.

INGLEWOOD – With his offense struggling on the field, Los Angeles Carolina Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks walked off the field at wide receiver Roberto Anderson on Sunday after the player got into a heated argument with his post coach Joe Dailey.
Anderson, 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, got into a fight with Dailey late in the first half and started the second half on a stationary bike wearing a cap instead of his helmet.
Later in the third quarter, Anderson sat in a cooler with his cap on while the rest of the attack discussed strategy on the sidelines.
Later, in the third quarter, Anderson and Dailey again had a trade, with the Panthers losing to the Los Angeles Rams at 17-19 and failing to get a first down since the first quarter.
Anderson was brought to Carolina by former head coach Matt Rhule, who was fired Monday. Anderson played for Rhule at the college level at Temple.

ESPN, a league source, informed before the game that Anderson was a player the Panthers would consider trading.
Anderson's salary cap is $10,954,166 this season and $21.719 million in 2023.
Before coming to the Panthers, Anderson was with the New York Jets, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in the 2016 draft.
The Panthers fell to a 1-5 record after losing to the Rams and are riding a three-game losing streak.
