Denny Hamlin will not participate in Saturday's Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway, Joe Gibbs Racing said on Wednesday, citing pain after his incident last weekend at Daytona.

Christopher Bell will drive the No. 18 car in the Xfinity race on Saturday (3 p.m. ET on USA Network).
Hamlin will compete in the Southern 500 on Sunday (6 p.m. ET on USA Network). The Cup playoffs' first race is that one.
Daytona International Speedway
Due to the rain and muddy track at Daytona International Speedway, Hamlin was one of those hurt. He expressed his disappointment that NASCAR did not issue a caution and spoke of the impact's discomfort.
In a statement from the team, Hamlin stated, "I have experienced some soreness in my neck, back, and hips following the wreck on Sunday. I believe skipping the Xfinity Series race will allow me to concentrate entirely on preparing for this weekend's Cup Series playoff event.
